As Events Coordinator, I am pleased to announce that the WRSF Officers and Directors have approved SchnauzerFest 2005 to be held at Mansfield, CT (Rt. 195, east of the University of CT campus in Storrs, CT).

The Trial will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 7 & 8. The Conformation will be held on Sunday, October 9.

PSK Judges: Mario Holcher and Wilfried Lohmann have been invited from Germany to officiate.

Details are being finalized for hotel accomodations @ Best Western - Regent Inn @ Mansfield Center, with meals at nearby Angellino's Restaurant (Friday night) and Zenny's Restaurant (Saturday night).

 

Planned event details / activities are TBA, and reservation information, costs, and directions to the locations will be made available soon. Notices will be posted on the official WRSF website:  www.workingriesenschnauzer.com and on the Members' discussion list:  WRSFmembers@yahoogroups.com .


Bradley Int'l. Airport (BDL) @ Windsor Locks, CT, T.F. Green Airport (PVD) @ Warwick, RI, and Logan Int'l. Airport (BOS) @ East Boston, MA provide commercial airline service. Private pilots can use nearby Windham Airport @ Windham, CT, which has limited services.

Any persons willing to help to make this year's events successful should contact Walter ( 860-233-2286) any evening before 10:00 pm Eastern, to discuss volunteer committee jobs. Help with all positions is needed and descriptions of duties are available.

A) Chair & Assistant Chair; B) Art work, Publicity, Premium list; C) Printing & Mailing; D) Trial Secretary & Conformation Secretary; E) Grounds; F) Banquets & food; G) Trophies & Awards; H) Raffle & Auction; I) Souvenirs & T-shirts J) Concessions & Sponsors; K) Assistant to Treasurer, cashier; L) Hospitality Chair.

Much of this can be done in advance and duties will be divided for everybody to have time to participate and enjoy the weekend. Every level of prior event experience is welcomed.
